The
studio

Twenty-two people in one building: direction, production, camera, aerial, edit, colour and sound. Nothing important gets outsourced.

The Pure Vibes crew working together on set
Manifesto

Craft beats
volume

Pure Vibes started in 2016 with one camera, a rented edit suite and a stubborn idea: that a production company should be judged on the work it turns down as much as the work it takes. We still work that way.

We do not chase every brief. We take on projects where the idea is worth the effort, where there is enough time to do it properly, and where we can be honest about what the budget will and will not buy. That has kept the studio small enough to care and large enough to deliver.

The result is a studio where the person who pitched your film is on set for it, and the colourist who grades it has read the treatment. Fewer handovers, fewer surprises, a better picture.

Timeline

Ten years,
one direction

2016

Two people, one camera

Pure Vibes starts as a two-person crew shooting music videos out of a rented room.

2019

First studio

We move into our own space and bring editing and colour grading fully in-house.

2021

Aerial division

Licensed drone and FPV operations added, with pilots on staff rather than subcontracted.

2023

First award

The Cut wins title design at SXSW and opens the door to feature and broadcast work.

2026

Twenty-two people

A full studio: direction, production, camera, aerial, post, colour and sound under one roof.

Post-production

Graded in-house,
on calibrated screens

Our grading suite and Atmos mix room are in the same building as our producers. Notes travel in minutes, not days.

Equipment

Owned,
not rented

We own our core package, so the budget goes into shoot days rather than hire fees.
